INGREDIENTS
- 75 g of fresh ginger root, peeled and cut in in thin round slices.
- 75 g fresh Turmeric, cut in thin slices.
- juice of 2 lemons, approx. 80-100g.
- 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- pinch cayenne pepper
- 1/5 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp honey for extra sweetness (optional)
METHOD
- Place all the ingredients in the Thermomix mixing bowl and blend 1 minute/ speed 10. you can use any other blender you have at home; Nutribullet, Ninja, Kitchen Aid, Vitamix....
- Optional- Pour the mixture into a cheesecloth, fine mesh strainer or fine mesh sieve and strain. You might want to use gloves as Turmeric will stain fingers and nails. Tip- Dont throw out the pulp! It can be used for soups, curries, smoothies.
- Store for a couple of days in the fridge but best consumed within 24 hours.
